<p>This shot is taken back in January 2008 when during the days when I was studying in the capital city. Inspired by London Eye, Eye on Malaysia is built in conjunction of Visit Malaysia Year 2007. It has now been relocated to Melaka later on.</p>
<p>And before Google Maps updates its images of the long gone Ferris wheel, it&#8217;s better to keep a snapshot of Titiwangsa Lake where Eye on Malaysia is located.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://photo.hugolim.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/IMG_1816.jpg"></a><a href="http://photo.hugolim.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/2009-11-05_1.jpg"><img class="size-full wp-image-290 aligncenter" title="Eye On Malaysia map" src="http://photo.hugolim.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/2009-11-05_1.jpg" alt="Eye On Malaysia map" width="579" height="254" /></a></p>
<blockquote><p>The <strong>Eye on Malaysia</strong> was a 60 metre tall portable <a title="Ferris wheel" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferris_wheel">Ferris wheel</a> installation at <a title="Titiwangsa" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Titiwangsa">Titiwangsa Lake Gardens</a>, <a title="Kuala Lumpur" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kuala_Lumpur">Kuala Lumpur</a>, <a title="Malaysia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malaysia">Malaysia</a>.</p>
<p>The purpose of having the Eye on Malaysia was inspired by the <a title="London Eye" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/London_Eye">London Eye</a></p>
<p>The wheel comprises 42 gondolas (including 1 <a title="Very Important Person" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Very_Important_Person">VIP</a> gondola) and was unveiled in conjunction with <a title="Visit Malaysia Year 2007 (page does not exist)" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Visit_Malaysia_Year_2007&amp;action=edit&amp;redlink=1">Visit Malaysia Year 2007</a> on <span title="2007-01-06"><span title="01-06"><a title="January 6" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/January_6">January 6</a></span>, <a title="2007" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007">2007</a></span> by Malaysian Prime Minister, <a title="Abdullah Ahmad Badawi" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abdullah_Ahmad_Badawi">Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi</a>.</p>
<p>The wheel allows visitors to experience a 360-degree <a title="Panorama" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panorama">panoramic</a> view of Kuala Lumpur and over 20 kilometres of its surroundings including <a title="Kuala Lumpur Tower" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kuala_Lumpur_Tower">Kuala Lumpur Tower</a>, <a title="Istana Budaya" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Istana_Budaya">Istana Budaya</a> and <a title="Petronas Twin Towers" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petronas_Twin_Towers">Petronas Twin Towers</a>, during a 12-minute ride.</p>
<p>It was relocated to <a title="Malacca" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malacca">Malacca</a> on <span title="2008-11-08"><span title="11-08"><a title="November 8" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/November_8">November 8</a></span>, <a title="2008" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2008">2008</a></span>.</p>

<p>KOMTAR (Malay: Kompleks Tun Abdul Razak), or more accurately KOMTAR Tower (Menara KOMTAR in Malay) is Penang&#8217;s tallest building and the sixth tallest building in Malaysia. It is located in the heart of George Town. When the skyscraper topped out it was the tallest building in Asia, by the time construction was completed it had however been surpassed by Seoul&#8217;s Korean Life Insurance Building (KLI 63 Building). The 65-storey tower is a 12-sided geometric block, 760ft (232m) tall, sitting atop a 4-storey podium. The complex comprises office and retail commercial space as well as public and recreational facilities. It was designed by Architects Team 3 (AT3) of Singapore.</p>
